Some ways in which Oxfam can help…
We won a millennium prize for innovation. Holds 14 litres of water. Does not deteriorate in UV light Tap means can get water without removing lid. Rounded edges = easy to clean, no nodule at the bottom so can be carried on head
Water tanks hold up to 90,000 litres of water sent out flat packed from our Bicester warehouse. Design is simple enough to be constructed by local communities in under 3 hours delivers water to tap stands which are never more than 500 metres from a dwelling place to reduce danger
Sanitation essential, we ensure the best toilet facilities are developed for every country we work in as needs of each country differ greatly.
For example in South America they use sit down toilets, Asia; squat toilets. If we don’t get it right, the toilets won’t be used and diseases will spread.
